Conducting an election by mail is typically uneventful in the weeks leading up to the election day but this year is the exception to the rule. Uintah County Clerk Auditor Mike Wilkins provided an update on Thursday regarding the ballot debacle as local voters are still waiting to have ballots in hand. “We have received an update from our contracted bulk mailer that the June Primary ballots should be delivered to the voters by Monday, June 18th, or before,” shares Wilkins. “Please remember to vote your ballot as soon as possible, apply a postage stamp on it and put it back in the mail to us. Remember it must have a post mark date by Monday the 25th of June or before. All ballots with a postmark on or before the 25th of June will be counted.” Ballots can also be hand delivered to the County Building in person until 8:00pm on June 26th, election day. Wilkins also states that the election will not be complete until July 9th. Anyone with questions is invited to call 435-781-5360.
