It seems there is no end to the announcements of upgrades at Ashley Regional Medical Center. Among the most recent is a drug take-back box now located in the waiting room of the Emergency Department. Medications can be dropped off for disposal by putting them in the slot on the front of the big lime green box. Ashley Regional also announced last week that finishing touches are being put on the new Infusion Center which will be open for business this week. The Infusion Center has 6 open infusion bays and 3 closed chemotherapy bays. Last month, Ashley Regional opened the doors of their new Women’s Center. The Women’s Center and many other upgrades are part of a $35 million dollar expansion and renovation project. At the time of the Women’s Center grand opening, CEO Ben Cluff emphasized that the upgrades to the hospital is thanks to LifePoint Health for their willingness to invest in this community even during a time of downturn in the local economy.
