A tragic crash involving several motorcycles took multiple lives
on Thursday around 10:30am
in Duchesne County at Mile Post 31 on SR-35. The Utah Department of Public Safety reports that a group of motorcyclists were traveling northbound on SR-35 Wolf Creek Pass when one bike went down and was struck by two more bikes. The crash was originally reported as a double fatal with another person in critical condition and a fourth victim in unknown condition. Within several hours it was shared that the crash involved three male riders and one female passenger. The final update on Thursday was that three were confirmed dead and one remained in very critical condition. SR-35 was closed for several hours. While the crash was tragedy enough for one night, law enforcement on the scene confirmed to Newstalk KVEL
on Thursday night
that a bystander was arrested at the scene of the crash. The bystander had no reason to be there and was interfering with EMTs and the officers helping the crash victims. He was placed under arrest and booked into Duchesne County Jail. It was suspected the bystander had been drinking alcohol.
