Imagine the shock of losing your home and all of your belongings. That is the reality for the victims of the Dollar Ridge Fire and many in the community are organizing ways to help. A growing list of sponsors are planning the Dollar Ridge Fire-Aid Fair that will include fund raising over 2 days in August. On August 24th, a live radio auction, or ‘Radio-Thon’, will kick off the fundraisers with items being auctioned including a donated car from Naples Auto. There will also be a Duchesne Eagles Tailgate Party and a parking lot concert with Charlie Jenkins at the fairgrounds immediately after the high school football game. Saturday, August 25th will be an all day benefit concert at the Centennial Event Center. An all day craft fair will also be held at the Duchesne County Fairgrounds. A massive group of media stations have partnered to make the event a success. The money received will be managed by Duchesne County Treasurer Steven Potter with a committee assigned to review applications and then fund based on the priority of need. All monetary contributions are tax deductible and can be arranged with Mr. Potter.
