Roosevelt City Council met on Tuesday taking action on several items of business. The Council approved $235,000 dollars in grant funding to go toward planning runway renovations at the Roosevelt Municipal Airport, shares the Roosevelt Bulletin. The total project cost is approximately $3.5 million dollars. That amount is expected to be 95 percent funded by grants. During the meeting, the Council also passed a resolution to establish an Economic Development Committee consisting of up to 15 members with the goal of fostering economic growth within the City. The Council also approved the final work to be done as part of improvements to 800 South. A contract for paving and sidewalk was awarded to Burdick Materials.
