The Dollar Ridge Fire-Aid Fair in August provided ample opportunity for entertainment and fun in addition to the chance to be charitable and support the victims of the Dollar Ridge Fire. Among the incentives to participate was a drawing for an enclosed 17’ Haulmark utility trailer for the early birds at the Jamie O’Neal concert
on Saturday night
. When the winner was drawn, the event organizers felt it very fitting that it was won by a couple that gave so much during the initial response to the Dollar Ridge Fire. Kathy and Steve Green from Vernal were like many who were concerned for their neighbors in danger of the fire. They put their concern into action and were on the front lines providing service to individuals displaced by the fire. They even used their own personal trailer to gather and haul groceries, cleaning supplies, clothing, and other necessities from Vernal to Fruitland. How fitting then that they were the recipient of the trailer prize that was courtesy of B&D RV and the Duchesne County Chamber of Commerce.
