The 2018 Uintah Basin Energy Summit held the end of August was, as usual, a who’s who of the energy sector for this region and beyond. “The [event] was once again a huge success with over 500 people in attendance,” shares event organizer and Uintah County Economic Development Director Sylvia Wilkins. “[There were] exceptional speeches from Representative Rob Bishop and Texas Railroad Commissioner Wayne Christian; keynote speaker Doug Griffiths entertained the crowd with his motivational speech about how attitudes can build or kill a community; and the billion dollar panel closed the Summit with representatives from Newfield, Crescent Point, and Axia Energy.” For the many who have been waiting, Wilkins has announced that the video recordings are now available online. “I know many of you have been patiently waiting for this,” shares Wilkins. “Please enjoy and let me know if you have any comments or suggestions for next year.” The video recordings can be accessed at
