Fishermen and hunters take note. The Utah Wildlife Board met on November 29th in Salt Lake City and have approved several new hunts that affect the Uintah Basin as well as made changes to fishing regulations at Flaming Gorge Reservoir. There will be bison hunts on the Henry Mountains in southeastern Utah and the Book Cliffs in eastern Utah. Additionally, the pronghorn sheep hunts added muzzleloader and archery in the northeastern Utah area. Be sure to look at what other new hunts have been added if you like to hunt throughout Utah. The fishing change states that non-residential anglers of Utah or Wyoming who want to fish both state areas of Flaming Gorge Reservoir now must buy a nonresident fishing license from the two states
starting January 1st.
The new rules that were approved will be in the 2019 Utah Big Game Application Guidebook. They can also be found at

by the end of December.
