Registration closes this week for the Flaming Gorge Fish Derby taking place May 14th and 15th. The event was established in 1984 as a kick off to summer for Flaming Gorge and is loved by sportsmen for the cash prizes and beautiful fishing. A team can consist of 1 to 3 members and all team members must fish together. All of Flaming Gorge is involved in the tournament so there are no boundaries except for the no fishing zones inside the buoys of Buckboard, Lucerne and Cedar Springs Marinas. Teams are required to register at www.flaminggorgefishderby.com with registration ending May 5th. There is a maximum of 400 teams allowed.
