Hunters interested in decisions being made for the upcoming season may be especially interested to know there is a scheduled public meeting tonight for the Northeastern Wildlife Regional Advisory Council (RAC). The discussion will include the 2022 permit recommendations for buck deer, bull elk, buck pronghorn, once-in-a-lifetime species, antlerless, and CWMU antlerless species. “Utah’s five Wildlife Regional Advisory Councils (RACs) were created by the Utah State Legislature in the early 1990s to get more public input from citizens at the grassroots level concerning wildlife management, rules and regulations,” shares the announcement. “Each RAC is made up of 12 to 15 people who represent various interest groups or constituencies.” The public is invited to attend tonight’s meeting at 6:30pm at the DWR Office at 318 North Vernal Avenue. The meeting is also available to watch online.
