Local government entities want to motivate residents to get out and do spring cleaning to spruce up our communities by sharing in some of the cost. This year’s Free Dump Week is being held April 23rd through the 30th in Duchesne and Uintah Counties. What exactly is Free Dump Week? Well the fees are waved for residential loads to the Uintah County Landfill and the Blue Bench Landfill. Free Dump Week is not for business or commercial use. In Uintah County, fees are not waved for refrigerators and only 4 tires are allowed per load. Duchesne County has not specified their rules yet but a standard rule is loads must be covered and if they are not they do not qualify for Free Dump Week. Hazardous waste is also not permitted.
