Local Scout Holding Flag Retirement Service For Eagle Scout Project

Patriotism and respect for the flag go hand in hand and a local boy scout is promoting both attributes. As part of his Eagle Scout project, local scout Samuel Barfuss is hosting a flag retirement service next week where old and torn United States flags will be given a proper retirement and disposal. All are invited to drop off their U.S. flags in need of retirement and even if you cannot attend the retirement service, the flag can be dropped off in the Uintah County Library in the flag retirement box located downstairs by the dinosaur book display. Those wishing to attend the flag retirement service are welcome! The ceremony is being held on April 1st at the Vernal City Scout Office from 3 to 5pm. Congratulations to Samuel Barfuss as he accomplishes his rank as an Eagle Scout with such a worthy project.
