A plume of smoke could be seen for miles on Tuesday in Duchesne County and thankfully emergency personnel were on the scene handling the cause. The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday evening that their deputies responded to the call which turned out to be an oil well location on fire. “The well location sustained damage, but no other property was damaged,” shared the announcement. “The fire sent a large plume of black smoke into the air that could be seen for miles before local fire crews could contain it. Fire crews were able to fully extinguish the blaze.” Duchesne County Sheriff Travis Tucker gave a shout out to the deputies that responded and for working together with the fire department to keep the public safe.
