It’s been a successful run so far for Steel Magnolias at Vernal Theatre Live and closing weekend includes a fun opportunity to pull out the 80’s clothing and hair styles. Director Rachel Fuchs says working with this small cast has been a wonderful experience. “These ladies have been a dream to work with,” shares Rachel. “Sometimes you feel like you’re in the exact right place at the exact right time and I’ve felt that through every moment of this show! From casting, rehearsals, and now performances, it’s been magic and I will cherish this time we’ve had together for all of my life!” Rachel also says the show is special because it’s about real events and real people. “Trying to do justice to this story by being authentic and real was our top priority and has made this a show that has so many beautiful emotions that you don’t want to miss!” says Rachel. “We all have happy and sad times and our show highlights how we need people in our corner for it all!” The final performances are tonight and tomorrow evening and closing night is 80’s Dress Up Night!
