Let’s go riding for a good cause this weekend. The 6th annual Polar Bear Run is happening on Saturday starting at Beer’s Harley Davidson and ending at the Gateway Saloon. “This is our 6th year putting on the Polar Bear Run,” shares Charlene Bradshaw. “We raise money and collect toys for local charities that assist children, families and seniors at Christmas. It started out as bikers signing up to ride in a ‘Toy Run’ from Beers Harley Davidson to the Gateway Saloon. Being it’s so cold this time of year we don’t want to ride very far. The entry fee is $10 and an unwrapped toy.” Sign ups start at Beer’s Harley Davidson at 1pm. There will be Santa, cocoa, candy canes, and a raffle full of amazing prizes. Tickets are $5 each, 5 for $20, 14 for $50, and 30 for $100. The prizes include a snowmobiling 2 night package to Daniel’s Summit Lodge, a motorcycle cargo trailer, several firearms, and many gift cards and prize baskets. The main ride down Main Street to the Gateway Saloon starts at 2pm followed by entertainment, free chili, and the live raffle at 4pm. This year’s Polar Bear Run happening on December 6th is benefitting Sub for Seniors, Squats for Tots, and Santa Keith Barton.
