Do not allow your pets to chase or harass any wildlife. “If they get chased, it uses up energy they may need to survive,” shares DWR Big Game Coordinator Covy Jones.

The 2022 Distinguished Alumna for Uintah High School is a woman known for many years of service to the community and especially to students. Vernie Heeney graduated from Uintah High School in 1969 and graduated from college with a double major in elementary education and psychology.

Uintah County Children’s Justice Center Program Report

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and so it was fitting that Tonya Murray with the Children’s Justice Center gave a report to the Uintah County Commission. 2021 was a record year at the Center with over 305 children interviews performed and 61 medical exams conducted, in addition to other services. In comparison, in 2007, the Center conducted 71 interviews and a total of 7 medical exams.
