The Uintah County Library is so much more than just a spot to find books. For example, the library is now hosting weekly senior socials on Wednesdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm, providing an opportunity for the senior citizens of our community to make friends and get engaged in a fun activity.

UDOT Projects Wrapping Up
UDOT projects in the Uintah Basin are wrapping up for the season. Region 3 Communications Manager Geoff Dupaix reports that work on S.R. 87 in Duchesne is now complete. This $700,000 dollar project started in early October and focused work on Center Street and a half mile of Highway 40 rehabilitating the asphalt.
All Adults 18 And Older Can Get COVID-19 Booster Dose
For those that have been waiting, TriCounty Health is spreading the word that the COVID-19 booster shot is now available for all adults 18 and older. Governor Cox reported on Wednesday that there have been 579,376 Utahns diagnosed with COVID-19; 25,273 have been hospitalized; and 3,398 have died.
Fatal Crash Victim Identified
The victim of a fatal crash near Vernal on Tuesday has been identified. Utah Highway Patrol shared that the fatal crash occurred on November 16th at approximately 11:16 am on Highway 40 at milepost 139.

Application Window Coming up For Spring Turkey Hunting Permits
You missed the legal window for hunting if you hoped to get out and harvest your own turkey for this year’s Thanksgiving but wildlife officials have the scoop on hunting for next year’s feast. The Division of Wildlife Resources shares that the application period for the spring 2022 limited-entry turkey hunt opens December 1st and must be submitted by December 27th.
