Uintah County Emergency Management encouraged preparation and provided an opportunity to assemble sandbags as storms delivered heavy rains through the end of the week and weekend in Uintah County. The neighborhood at the foot of Yellow Hill in Maeser was hit with flooding as a result of the storms.

Get Tags Turned In For Fishing With The Fox Prize Drawing
While it is now too late to register your Fishing With The Fox tags on Eventbrite, it’s not too late to get the physical tags turned in ahead of the giant prize drawing. As of Friday, there were 236 tags registered in Eventbrite and 179 of those also turned in the tags to the Division of Wildlife Resources office in Vernal to be entered into the drawing.
Fisheries Biologist Provides Update on Several Lakes in Northeastern Utah
Fisheries Biologist Natalie Boren has provided an update on several lakes in Northeastern Utah. Pelican Lake is currently 1 foot away from the conservation pool. There are still reports of good fishing, particularly for bass. Red Fleet’s water levels continue to drop and it is projected it will end the water year around 5000 to 6000 acre feet, down from a total volume of 26000 acre feet.
Vernal Downtown Plan Advancing
Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion has good news: The downtown Vernal revitalization plan is advancing. “The planning process has brought excitement into the downtown, events and support for our businesses,” shares Bennion. “The concept designs were based on the principles heard from the community.”
