In case you haven’t noticed, the artists behind the large scale murals around Vernal are back at it! Thanks to a partnership between Uintah County Travel and Tourism and local business owners there are 5 new massive murals that were painted in just the last month.

Good Practices to Adopt as Utah is in Drought Conditions

All are urged to adopt water conservancy practices. This comes on the heels of the governor issuing an Executive Order declaring a state of emergency due to serious drought conditions. Utah has 90% of the state experiencing extreme drought and 100% in at least the moderate drought category.

The Duchesne County man arrested after the early morning fatal shooting of his friend last week in the Myton area has been formally charged in 8th District Court. 46-year-old Keith Nelson Broadwater was officially charged with Murder and Misdemeanor Carrying a Dangerous Weapon (while) Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Utah Joins Lawsuit to Stop Biden Oil/Gas Lease Ban

Utah has joined a multi state lawsuit in the battle to block the Biden Administration’s plan to suspend oil and gas leases on federal lands in Utah and beyond. According to Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, the lawsuit says Biden Executive Order 14008 is in violation of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA) and the Mineral Leasing Act (MLA).

A local group of high achieving teens have set a great example of service in the community.
