UDOT Roosevelt Highway 40 Construction Update

The road construction in Roosevelt is heading towards Phase 4 as the milling and paving on the two-lane section on Highway 40 east of the city is coming to a close. The closing out of Phase 3 includes the bridge at Fort Duchesne being complete and the replacement of concrete pavement at the L&L intersection finishing.

Preliminary Route Added to Uinta Basin Railway Study

The board for the Seven County Infrastructure Coalition met on Thursday and voted to add a new preliminary route to the environmental study taking place for the proposed Uinta Basin Railway. According to a press release from the Coalition, they will be requesting that the Surface Transportation Board consider the new route, which is being called the Whitmore Park route, as the Coalition’s preferred alternative.

Her struggle started with a severe headache on June 3rd and took a turn for the worst when on June 8th she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Teen Treated After Accident Near Roosevelt Junior High

Thankfully, there were no serious injuries after a series of unfortunate events in the parking lot near Roosevelt Junior High on Wednesday morning. According to Roosevelt City Police, it began when a 14-year-old boy was riding his bike on the sidewalk headed to the Junior High.
