Head-On Fatal Accident Near Duchesne
A head-on accident between a double tanker semi and a passenger car had a fatal ending on Highway 40 last week. According to a news release from the Department of Public Safety, a passenger car was traveling westbound just after 11pm on Thursday on Highway 40 at Mile Marker 80.5 while a double tanker semi was traveling eastbound in the same area.

Self Help Housing Program Seeking Applicants in Vernal and Roosevelt
A program that has helped many families in the Uintah Basin build sweat equity in their own homes is seeking applicants in the Vernal and Roosevelt areas. The Mutual Self Help Housing program is administered by the Uintah Basin Association of Governments and applications are now being accepted. “We need 4 in Vernal and 4 in Roosevelt,” shares UBAOG representative Kendra Hackford.
