A good group of community members invested in local trail planning attended the Uintah County Trails Master Plan meeting at USU in Vernal on Tuesday night. Around 50 people attended, mostly interested in an update on planning and when the Master Plan will be done. The Master Plan will be complete in May, explained project engineer Aaron Averett, and public comment continues to be accepted online with a link through the Uintah County Trails Master Plan Facebook page. The link leads to fourteen proposed projects, outlined with a clear map and description of each one along with an easy to use comment box. “We’ll be accepting comments through that link for another month,” explains Averett. As those involved put the finishing touches on the plan, Averett is prepping to get started on the Daggett County Trails Master Plan in the coming months, which he says will be complimentary to the progress being made in Uintah County. http://sunrise-eng.maps.arcgis.com/apps/CrowdsourcePolling/index.html?appid=e4ee72aa240f46e891de9b14f530ec26
