Naples Police Lay K9 Jesse To Rest

The Naples Police Department laid a member of their team to rest this week. K9 Jesse joined the Naples Police Department team in 2008 and was partnered with Lieutenant Drew Cox. “In the last ten years,” shares Naples Police, “ K9 Jesse and her partner have been accredited to many drug arrests in the Basin.”

Name Released on Monday’s Two-Vehicle Accident Fatality

Vernal Police Department has released the name of the Vernal woman who died in the head on collision on Monday in Vernal. 21-year-old Isabella Giese was killed when the vehicle she was driving drifted into oncoming traffic at about 6:30pm at 895 West Highway 40 in Vernal. According to Vernal City Assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell, neither Giese nor her passenger were wearing seatbelts.

Duchesne High School Placed on Lockdown After Threat of Violence

Duchesne schools were placed on lockdown Thursday during school hours after report of a shooting threat that resulted in one student brought into police custody and two others detained for questioning. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, the threat was reported to Principal Stan Young at about 1:40pm by a small group of students that he said were “obviously stressed” when they came to his office.
