Ute Tribe Release on Latest in District Court

The Ute Tribe issued a press release on Tuesday stating that on January 25th, the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah denied a motion by Roosevelt City to set a contempt hearing against the Ute Indian Tribe.

Legal counsel weighed in on the consideration of expanding Uintah County Special Service District boards during Monday’s Commission meeting. Last week, the Commission was split on board appointments and the future of the Uintah Transportation Service District was called into question.
