In just its second year, TriCounty Health’s Flu Shoot-Out event has expanded to multiple locations. Rather than just be held at the Vernal health department location, the Flu Shoot-Out will also be set up in Roosevelt in the UBATC parking lot.

A Craig police officer has been charged with child abuse and assault. Colorado’s 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office confirmed Thursday that charges were filed against Tracy Reneau on August 17th for injuries she allegedly caused to her stepchild while off duty.

A Vernal man on the sex offender registry who attempted to kidnap and sexually assault a woman last spring has been sentenced to prison.

The Uintah County Commission announced this week the appointment of Sylvia Wilkins as the County’s new Economic Development Director. “As a Commission, we took a close look at the options available to us to fill this position,” shared Commissioner Mike McKee. 

The Ute Tribe and TransWest Express LLC announced on Wednesday their partnership on plans for the Western electric grid project. According to Wednesday’s press release, TransWest contractors will recruit, train and employ tribal members and the two organizations will coordinate throughout the construction process. 

A woman suffered serious injury from a fall in Dinosaur National Monument on Tuesday afternoon. According to Monument Chief of Visitor Services Dan Johnson, the 65-year-old visitor tripped while walking on the Fossil Discovery Trail that runs between the exhibit hall down to the visitor’s center. 

A Wasatch County man charged with child rape was in 8th District Court on Tuesday. A warrant for the arrest of 21-year-old Cabit Douglas Nye was issued on August 2nd and Nye was arrested in Duchesne County on August 29th.
