Craig Police Officer Charged With Assault and Child Abuse

A Craig police officer has been charged with child abuse and assault. Colorado’s 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office confirmed Thursday that charges were filed against Tracy Reneau on August 17th for injuries she allegedly caused to her stepchild while off duty.

The Uintah County Commission announced this week the appointment of Sylvia Wilkins as the County’s new Economic Development Director. “As a Commission, we took a close look at the options available to us to fill this position,” shared Commissioner Mike McKee.

The Ute Tribe and TransWest Express LLC announced on Wednesday their partnership on plans for the Western electric grid project. According to Wednesday’s press release, TransWest contractors will recruit, train and employ tribal members and the two organizations will coordinate throughout the construction process.

Law enforcement has been busy fighting drugs in the Basin and Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that progress is being made. According to the Sheriff’s Office, a significant amount of drugs have been taken off the streets in the past week following multiple arrests.
