A tragic accident resulted in serious injury of one boy on Monday near the sand dunes off SR-45. According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, a family was recreating in the area when a 4-year-old member of the party reached under a vehicle to grab something and another family member accidentally reversed the vehicle over the child.

Randall Flatlip Facing New Charges Related to Child Pornography
One of the men charged with the rape of a 9-year-old Uintah County girl has new charges filed against him related to child pornography. 26-year-old Randall Flatlip has 74 new charges of 2nd Degree Felony Sexual Exploitation of a Minor filed against him on August 30th.
Adjustments to Cougar Hunting Aimed at Saving Livestock
The Utah Wildlife Board approved a few minor changes to the 2016 – 2017 cougar hunting season that biologists hope will result in more livestock saved.
