The mother of the 9-year-old girl raped by multiple men last spring has been charged with child abuse in 8th District Court. According to court documents, the 3rd degree felony Child Abuse charge was filed against 32-year-old Natasha Alissa Billsie on August 23rd for the horrendous event that took place on March 26th. 

Work is ongoing on SR-45 where UDOT is building a bridge to solve the issue of the eroding roadway. According to the UDOT Region 3 Team, several options were considered to address the erosion including realigning SR-45 and constructing a bypass. 

Unrest in the country and threats aimed at police officers have resulted in an outpouring of local gratitude for law enforcement agencies. Roosevelt Police are the latest to offer thanks for the love they’ve received.

Remains found in the High Uintah Mountains are believed to be those of an Australian hiker who was reported missing in the area in 2011. According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, information was received last week that human remains were located near Allsop Lake in the High Uintah Mountains on the border of Summit and Duchesne County.
