The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office with the help of state troopers were able to successfully stop a car that had been reported stolen and was then involved in a hundred mile chase on Monday. The car was stolen in Colorado’s Summit County with the chase starting in Eagle County after Vail police tried to stop the car. The car was monitored throughout several counties with attempts to stop the vehicle avoided by the suspects. In Rifle, it is believed that the two suspects were involved in an attempted carjacking. During the pursuit the passenger reached out the window and discharged two rounds from a handgun. Thankfully the chase ended in Moffat County and the suspects were taken into custody.
