The Bureau of Land Management announced on Tuesday the renewal of a grazing permit in Daggett County. The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office issued the Environmental Assessment for the Vermillion Ranch Grazing Permit Renewals. Under the proposed action, the BLM renews the applicant’s livestock grazing permits on the Clay Basin, Clay Basin Meadows, Willow Creek, and Bridgeport Allotments, subject to terms and conditions, for a period of ten years. These renewed permits would include the identified seasons of use for all allotments, AUMs, and pasture rotations. The proposed decision approving the permit renewal was signed February 24, 2026. A formal public scoping period was held from May 5, 2025 until May 20, 2025.
