Farm land in Uintah and Duchesne County is considered some of the best in the state for hunting pheasants and quail this season and local youth will get the first crack at the birds. The state is hosting its annual youth pheasant and quail hunt
on October 13th through the 15th.
The Division of Wildlife Resources has arranged to release over 1,000 pheasants around the state on wildlife management areas and Walk-In Access areas before the hunt to increase the chance young hunters have at taking a bird. Youth need to be 17 years of age or younger as of
July 31st
