Drexel Hamilton Purchases Exclusive Right to Develop Uintah Basin Railway
2020 has been a difficult year for the local economy but some game changers appear to be on the horizon. Drexel Hamilton Infrastructure Partners issued a press release on Tuesday announcing an agreement with Utah’s Seven County Infrastructure Coalition to advance the Uinta Basin Railway which will serve multiple industries of northeast Utah’s Uinta Basin.
Western Uintah Basin Taking Brunt of Winter Weather Warning
National Weather Service has reported that an unseasonably cold Arctic storm system will move through the area today and into Wednesday, making the biggest impact on the western side of the Uintah Basin. There will be strong downslope winds to the affected areas making it important to secure loose yard items and remove loose branches from trees.
Second Confirmed Case of COVID-19 in Duchesne County School District
Duchesne County School District has reported a second case of COVID-19. On September 4th, TriCounty Health Department notified the District that an individual at Union High School tested positive for COVID-19. “Those who were in direct, prolonged contact with the individual who tested positive will be notified by TriCounty Health Department or Duchesne County School District,” shares the District’s announcement.
