Vernal Main Street Drainage Improvement Project On Schedule

The second phase of the Vernal Main Street Drainage Improvement Project is well underway. Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion reports that Phase 2 of the project is on schedule. Phase 2 is installing a new storm drain under Main Street between 500 West and 500 East in three sections. Section one of the work has been between 400 West and Vernal Avenue.

Before the show began, I was welcomed into the world of Devereaux by a set simply and beautifully designed as ‘Hanover D. Ashley National Forest is reminding the public that fire restrictions continue following a human caused fire. The Rhoades Canyon Fire was identified on Tuesday northwest of Hanna. “…Patrols monitoring for campfires are taking place each day and citations are being issued for campfires,” shares Ashley National Forest.

Aerial Reconnaissance Shows East Fork Fire’s Areas of “Intense Heat”

Aerial reconnaissance performed this week provided a clear view of the behavior of the East Fork Fire as it continues north of Hanna in Duchesne County. “Aerial reconnaissance shows that despite little movement outside of proposed or existing containment lines, areas of intense heat remain within the East Fork Fire perimeter,” shares Ashley National Forest.

Uintah School District has added a new feature to their website they hope will be helpful to District families. “In the interest of transparency and providing information to parents/guardians so they can make decisions in the best interest of their family the Uintah School District is providing COVID-19 case counts for each school and for all district buildings combined,” shares the District.
