For families with students in Uintah School District with limited internet access at home, a grant may soon help improve your resources at home. Uintah School District announced in a press release on Monday that they have been awarded a $300,000 dollar grant to provide broadband internet for students enrolled in district programs who do not have broadband internet or adequate broadband speeds at home.
Court Proceedings Continue For Those Charged in Melo Murder
The Guilty verdicts delivered by a jury to Kristy Lee Whitchurch in the 2018 Murder of Sherry Lynn Melo may be just the beginning of the trials to come in the case. Whitchurch was found Guilty on October 8th of 1st Degree Felony Aggravated Burglary, 2nd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault, and 1st Degree Felony Murder in the death of Sherry Lynn Melo.
Uintah Basin Healthcare Altamont Clinic Offering Flu Shots
TriCounty Health Department recently held their Flu ShootOut throughout four locations in the Basin. The Center for Disease Control states, "vaccine should be administered by the end of October, but vaccination should continue to be offered as long as influenza viruses are circulating locally and unexpired vaccines are available."
