Roosevelt City is saying goodbye to another longtime employee. Carolyn Wilcken has served for 38 years as the City Recorder for Roosevelt City. She joined the team at Roosevelt City in 1983 and was honored on Wednesday, November 4th by past and present city staff members. Bipartisan Wildlife Conservation Bill Signed into Law By President Trump
The America’s Conservation Enhancement (ACE) Act has been signed into law. The Act passed the Senate unanimously in the form of a substitute amendment that was negotiated with the House of Representatives on September 16th, 2020 and was signed by President Trump on October 30th, 2020.

The 3A Union High School volleyball team took the state championship on Wednesday, October 28th at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. Uintah School District Outlines Adjustments Due to Governor’s New Orders
Uintah School District issued a press release on Monday to outline what changes are in place in the District as a result of the Governor’s new orders. All extracurricular activities are postponed until November 23rd. This includes tryouts for winter sports and practices at Uintah High School, Uintah Middle School and Vernal Middle School.

Roosevelt City is giving its citizens a heads up about getting around town. “As the Dominion Energy gas line project moves further through town, more road closures are on the way,” shares Roosevelt City. “200 East will be closed at the TriCounty Health/Palmer's Tire intersection for approximately one week.
Morgan Walters of Daggett County to Ring The Bell
The community is celebrating a major accomplishment for a young man in Daggett County. Last April, Morgan Walters was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer known as Ewing’s Sarcoma. In the Flaming Gorge Gazette it states “his battle was uphill and he endured 15 rounds of chemo, a grueling 14 hour surgery that required a hip reconstruction and the removal of his fibula bone.”
