Uintah County Attorney Lamb Appointed to Fill Judge Seat in 8th District Court
Uintah County Attorney Greg Lamb has been appointed to fill Judge Edwin T. Peterson’s seat in Eighth District Court. Judge Peterson received his appointment in 2009 and recently announced his retirement. Once the position was open the state accepted applications and it was narrowed to four applicants of which the Governor’s Office chose Greg Lamb.

The Uintah School Board is unanimously making their voices heard with a letter addressed to Governor Gary Herbert explaining their opposition to suspend any extracurricular sport or activity beyond November 23rd, citing the health and safety of students.

As of October 19, 2020, the Duchesne County Commissioners have adopted a Trails Master Plan. This plan contains over 150 potential trail projects throughout the county. On November 2nd, the County Commissioners passed a resolution establishing a County Trails Committee.

Vernal’s Elks Lodge Having Raffle for a New Roof
The Vernal’s Elk Lodge has held many events and been a big part of activities in the community. Now the lodge is in need of a little help from the community. The Elks Lodge roof urgently needs to be replaced and so the lodge is having a raffle. They are raffling a Ruger American Go Wild 6.5 Creedmoor.
Fatal Crash Near Strawberry Reservoir Leaves One Dead
A fatal accident took place on Saturday near Strawberry Reservoir. “On November 14th, at approximately 8:15pm Troopers responded to reports of a head on crash near milepost 46 on SR-40 in Wasatch County,” shares the Utah Department of Public Safety.
