An effort to help fill the hunger gaps over the weekends for local kids received an amazing response. Uintah School District announced Wednesday that the Backpack Buddies Food Drive collected 34,218 individual food items for their cause. The Backpack Buddies Food Drive was organized by the Uintah High chapter of National Honor Society.

An investigation is underway after a man was found deceased in a camper near Flaming Gorge Reservoir. According to the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, detectives are investigating this as an unattended death. The man was found alone in his camper near the Anvil Draw area of Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
