Once again the counties in the TriCounty Health District will stay at the same COVID-19 Transmission Index Levels. Uintah County and Duchesne County remain at the High Transmission Level and Daggett County is in the Low Transmission Level. According to a Thursday press release from TriCounty Health, Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 25 percent and there were 306 cases in the past 14 days.
Congressman Rob Bishop’s time in office will soon come to a close but not before he assumes an important appointment one last time. House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy appointed Bishop as a conferee to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). “I am pleased to work on this bill as a conferee,” shares Bishop.

The Craig Press reports that Memorial Regional Health’s COVID-19 unit recently increased capacity from six beds to eight but had admitted six patients.
A portion of Browns Park Wildlife Management Area has been closed as part of a project to catch and collar trumpeter swans. Trumpeter swans start to arrive in Browns Park every November during their annual fall migration and they spend the winter there and along the Green River.
