New Year Babies Welcomed in the Uintah Basin

Ashley Regional Medical Center welcomed their New Year’s Baby on January 1st at 8:50am. Oddly enough, Uintah Basin Medical Center didn’t welcome their New Year’s Baby until the afternoon of January 4th. Baby girl Kennedy Lee Roberts was born to Morgan and Jazmyn Roberts on Monday at 1:02pm.

It’s official. Todd Massey and Tawnya McKee have been sworn in as the new Uintah School Board members. 8th District Court Judge Clark McClellan performed the ceremony during a special meeting of the Uintah School Board on Monday evening. Tawnya McKee is serving as the board representative over Uintah School Board District #4.

Tri-County Area COVID-19 Transmission Level Update (12/31/20 – 1/6/21)

The TriCounty Health District is reporting the same COVID-19 Transmission Index Levels. Uintah County and Duchesne County remain at the High Transmission Level and Daggett County is in the Low Transmission Level. According to TriCounty Health’s press release on Thursday, this means Uintah County had been in high transmission for 62 days, Duchesne County for 69 days and Daggett County in the low transmission level for 78 days.

Vernal #15 on List of ‘25 Coolest Towns in America to Visit in 2021’

Travel publication MatadorNetwork.com has some high praise for the fun to be had in Dinosaurland naming Vernal #15 on the list of ‘25 coolest towns in America to visit in 2021.’ Vernal is the only town in Utah to make the list and is praised as a “basecamp for climbers, river rats, mountain bikers, and backcountry hounds seeking easy access to the goods they’ve spent their lives pursuing.”
