Vernal Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a wanted man. The Vernal PD post on Facebook states that they are seeking the whereabouts of 25-year-old Joseph King. King is wanted on several warrants for his arrest and recent criminal activity.

COVID-19 vaccinations began to be distributed to staff within Duchesne County School District on Monday. Uintah Basin Healthcare issued a press release sharing that they have been following the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution plan and are now able to use the excess supply of 170 doses from their first Moderna vaccine shipment to begin vaccinating staff from Duchesne County School District.

The Black Bear hunting season and permit numbers are on a three-year recommendation cycle that started in 2019 following a Utah Wildlife Board meeting.
