Plans and Funding Secured for Solar Arrays in Western Colorado

Moffat and Routt County in Colorado will see the installation of fourteen solar panel systems known as solar arrays at governmental agencies starting this spring. This project is funded by a $2.1 million dollar grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs Energy Impact Fund as part of a regional solar project.

Murals continue to go up around Vernal and the artists behind most of them were recently recognized by the Vernal Chamber of Commerce. Ninty1(91) Designs was awarded the Business of the Month by the Public Relations Committee. Ninty1 Designs is owned by Jordan Clark, a Vernal native whose love of art grew into a passion for mural painting.

CPW Approve Plan to Reintroduce Wolves in Colorado by 10-1 Vote

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission issued a press release concerning plans moving forward with the introduction of wolves to Colorado. During a virtual meeting on January 14th, they provided CPW staff with direction to begin creating a robust, adaptive management plan to reintroduce wolves in Colorado with a 10-1 majority vote.

Roosevelt City Celebrates the Grand Opening of the Ice Rink

The ice rink at Constitution Park delayed its opening because the water initially didn’t freeze in the anticipated timeline. The Roosevelt City crew took the extra time to fix cracked areas and prepare it for an opening just a week later. Roosevelt City shared that they “worked tirelessly to prep the ice, fill in holes caused by air bubbles, and create the smoothest possible surface for skating.”
