Wildlife officers are encouraging everyone in Utah to download a new app to their cell phones to continue the fight against poaching. The app is called UTDWR and allows the person to report observed wildlife violations. "It isn't required, but we do encourage people to share their name and a way to contact them," shares DWR Captain Wyatt Bubak.

10th Circuit: Duchesne County Nurse Will Face Wrongful Death Suit
The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals announced Tuesday that Duchesne County Nurse Jana Clyde will face the wrongful death suit filed by The Estate of Madison Jody Jensen. 21-year-old Madison Jensen was booked into Duchesne County Jail on November 27th, 2016 for internal possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Uintah County Men Rescued by Search and Rescue in Wasatch County
Two Uintah County men are safe thanks to a search and rescue effort in the Uinta Mountains. According to Wasatch County Search and Rescue, the Wasatch 911 call center received the report of two lost snowmobilers around 6:19pm on Sunday evening. “The reporting party was able to get text but only sporadically from the missing party,” shares the search and rescue report.
Second Search Reveals Stash of Firearms; Rowley Officially Charged
The Vernal man arrested and held on no bond last week after dangerous materials and police body armor were found in his Uintah County home was officially charged in 8th District Court on Tuesday, March 2nd. On February 23rd, 37-year-old Michael Dallas Rowley was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated assault and then booked into Uintah County Jail on a long list of offenses after officers found a bullet in his pocket during his arrest.

A Vernal business owner is hoping to warn the public of yet another scam that is targeting locals in his line of business. Ted Munford, owner of Techris Design, shares that they have had a lot of reports of people who have been targeted by phone scammers who claim to be with Apple. “One of the easiest ways to identify a scammer is that they call you about your computer problems rather than you calling them first,” explains Munford.

Vernal Police Department is urging the public to be more proactive. “Within the last week, we have seen an uptick in Vehicle Burglaries and Automobile Thefts,” shares Vernal PD. “These investigations are active and ongoing, and we are chasing all leads.
