A local group of high achieving teens have set a great example of service in the community. DWR proposes decrease in general-season deer permits for 2021

Biologists from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources are asking for the public’s feedback after recommending a decrease in the number of general-season permits for the 2021 deer hunt. The current objective of the DWR is to have just over 400,000 deer across Utah but currently there is just an estimated 314,850 deer in the state.

UDOT Resurfacing Project SR 121 in Maeser Through Vernal Main Street

Gear up for more orange construction cones on Uintah County roadways. According to a UDOT announcement, SR 121 will be resurfaced through Maeser and Vernal Main Street. Work could begin as early as April 5th and will continue through mid-September. The six mile distance stretches from Milepost 34 and down Vernal Main Street.

Budding Historian Brought Century Old Gun to Be Examined

Pieces of history can be found anywhere. That is certainly the case for Danny Tuttle, a six year old from Green River, Wyoming. According to a press release from Sweetwater Now, the regular museum visitor brought a badly rusted revolver that was found hidden beneath a rock in the desert by his great-grandfather, Jesse Lloyd Tuttle, in the 1940s.
