Dr. B on Effectiveness of the COVID-19 Vaccine
Local medical professional, Dr. Karl Breitenbach MD, has a message for the public about the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccinations. “I’ve been so excited by the fact that these COVID vaccines are very effective,” states Dr. B. “In the studies of the Moderna vaccine and the Pfizer vaccine, they were quoted in the case of the Moderna vaccine as 94 percent effective and Pfizer 95 percent effective.
Recycling Option Now Offered in Roosevelt
A rural recycling option is now available in Roosevelt City. The Recyclops company uses a tech-driven smart routing app to efficiently gather recycled items from households in rural areas. A Forbes magazine highlight stated that Recyclops serves over 3,500 homes in rural areas across multiple states since its inception in 2014.

Fatal Crash on Highway 40 Near Strawberry Reservoir on Sunday
Utah Highway Patrol reports that on July 4th at approximately 3:57pm troopers responded to reports of a two car accident at the intersection of Highway 40 and Strawberry River Road. A Toyota Highlander attempted a left hand turn onto Highway 40 Westbound from Strawberry River Road.
Snake John Fire 100% Contained Over Weekend
Fourth of July weekend was filled with celebrations and fireworks and gratefully only one wildfire near Vernal. The wildfire that was named the Snake John Fire was burning Southeast of Vernal on Friday evening. It was estimated to be 20 acres and was threatening nearby oil and gas sources.
DWR: New Laws To Know Include ‘Child Support Hunting/Fishing License Law’
The Division of Wildlife Resources is getting the word out on two laws passed in the Utah legislative session that will soon have impacts on some hunters and anglers.
