Fatal Crash on Highway 40 Near Strawberry Reservoir on Sunday

Utah Highway Patrol reports that on July 4th at approximately 3:57pm troopers responded to reports of a two car accident at the intersection of Highway 40 and Strawberry River Road. A Toyota Highlander attempted a left hand turn onto Highway 40 Westbound from Strawberry River Road.

Snake John Fire 100% Contained Over Weekend

Fourth of July weekend was filled with celebrations and fireworks and gratefully only one wildfire near Vernal. The wildfire that was named the Snake John Fire was burning Southeast of Vernal on Friday evening. It was estimated to be 20 acres and was threatening nearby oil and gas sources.
