DWR Stream Treatments Scheduled for Late August

In an effort to help restore native Colorado River cutthroat trout, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will be treating several streams in the High Uintas. DWR biologists treat the streams with low quantities of rotenone, a natural respiratory toxin to fish but perfectly safe for people, pets, and other wildlife.

Body Recovered From Strawberry Reservoir That Of Missing Man

It's a sad ending to a search that took place on Monday at Strawberry Reservoir. According to the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, 9-1-1 received a call reporting an overdue party around noon. “The caller reported that her husband had spent the night on his boat on Strawberry Reservoir,” shares the Sheriff’s Office.

BLM Decision on Moffat County Road and Trail Plan

The Bureau of Land Management distributed a press release over the weekend that it has issued a decision on approximately 1,600 miles of open and limited travel designations for roads and trails across approximately 370,000 acres of BLM-administered land northwest of Craig in Moffat County.

Misinformation Cleared Up Concerning Flaming Gorge Water Levels

While it is understandable that there is concern about water releases from Flaming Gorge to support areas downstream, the releases are not as much as some people think. Flaming Gorge Resort recently shared that they have had visitors under the impression that Flaming Gorge has dropped 30 plus feet with the releases to support Lake Powell but that in fact Flaming Gorge is only expected to drop a total of 6 feet by October.
