Fall Prescribed Burning Plans For Flaming Gorge Ranger District
Prescribed burns are scheduled on the Flaming Gorge Ranger District between October and December 2021, however there are currently numerous fires across the Western United States and resources are stretched thin. Officials want the public to know that Ashley National Forest will NOT implement any burns until the following conditions are met.

Uintah Basin Healthcare issued a press release on Tuesday with a testing and hospital capacity update they hope the community will seriously consider. The last week of August, Uintah Basin Healthcare averaged 50 COVID tests daily and now are averaging 89 COVID tests daily. Tests are now at 27 percent positive. In 2020, the ER averaged 206 patients per week.

Open Burn Information For Uintah and Daggett County
The Uintah and Daggett County Fire Warden has shared that on September 15th, the Division of Forestry Fire and State Lands will start considerations for issuing permits for open burning in the unincorporated parts of the counties (outside of city limits).
