There will be a prescribed fire project near Jensen and could start as soon as next week if weather permits. The Stewart Lake WMA prescribed fire project hopes to remove “dead fuels of cattails, phragmites, bulrush, and other vegetation to improve wildlife habitat by reducing selenium by exposure of area through removal of surface vegetation.
