Uintah DECA Club Have Outstanding Showing At State Competition

State competition last week went very well for the Uintah High DECA Club. The team had a 2nd place finish overall in the Chapter of the Year category and 17 club members qualified for nationals. Justin Schmidt, Kenadee Allred, Ellie Hartman, and Bryson Allan were in the top 10 percent of test scores in their individual subjects.

The Uinta Basin recorded its first exceedance of the EPA ozone standard of the year on Monday. According to the report from Dr. Seth Lyman, USU Bingham Research Center Director, ozone has continued to increase in the Uinta Basin and the likelihood of high ozone will not pass for several more days.
