Saturday was an exciting day as USU Uintah Basin celebrated the Class of 2022 at the Uintah Conference Center. The graduates included 127 students earning 75 associate, 53 bachelor’s, and 9 master’s degrees as well as 1 graduate certificate.

This last week the Uintah FFA Chapter members competed at the 2022 Utah FFA Association State Career Development Events. Over 1,900 FFA members from 90 plus chapters attended. The Nursery/Landscape Team of Audie Christensen, Hadley Horrocks, Jesse Aguilar and Taysia Richens took 1st at State.

Fugitive Wanted Out Of Colorado Arrested In Vernal

A fugitive wanted out of Colorado was arrested in Vernal on Friday. According to the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, 21-year-old Stanley Lucero had a half a million dollar warrant out for his arrest in connection to a homicide that took place in Grand Junction.

MAPLand Act Signed Into Law

Congressman Blake Moore’s Modernizing Access to our Public Land (MAPLand) Act has officially been signed into law. The MAPLand Act will direct federal land management agencies to digitize and standardize mapping records.
