A Washington State man is behind bars after allegedly firing a handgun at a vehicle near Helper in Carbon County.

There are many local students being recognized for their achievements and hard work. One that has received a coveted scholarship is Uintah High School’s Carson Coltharp. Carson is the recipient of the 2022 Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Scholarship.

In addition to Highway 40 construction around Strawberry Reservoir and into Duchesne County, there will be other UDOT road projects this year in Duchesne, Uintah, and Daggett Counties that will amount to approximately $21.55 million dollars.
