Uintah County/Vernal City Purchasing Land Parcel For Runway Protection Zone

Uintah County and Vernal City are in the process of purchasing a parcel of land for the Vernal Airport on 900 East 500 South as it lies in what the FAA defines as a runway protection zone. Airport director Ken Campbell approached the Uintah County Commission about the 17.91 acre real estate purchase during Monday’s Commission meeting.

Phase 9 Of Duchesne County Junk Vehicle Removal Program Wraps Up

Phase 9 of Duchesne County’s Junk Vehicle Removal Program has wrapped up and the prize winners have been announced. Planning and Zoning Director Mike Hyde presented to the Duchesne County Commission on the program last week, stating that the junk vehicle removal program began in 2004 to encourage citizens to dispose of unwanted vehicles on their properties.

Rec District Design Concepts Presented For Ashley Community Park In Vernal

Concepts for the Kay Memorial Park adjacent to the Uintah Community Center weren’t the only design suggestions presented at the April board meeting of the Uintah Recreation Special Service District held last week. The Master Plan update also included a conceptual design for the Ashley Valley Community Park on 500 North in Vernal.
